Onduparaka FC played out a 0-0 against Gaddafi FC in the Startimes Uganda Premier League match played at the Green light stadium in Arua.
The first stanza had a couple of missed chances from both sides as Onduparaka dominated the early minutes of the game.
Skipper Mohammed Shaban had a chance to put the hosts ahead but his acrobatic shot was saved by Paul Mujapani in the 13th minute and the rebound from Gabriel Matata deflected for a corner.
Gaddafi came back stronger as they settled into the game with the brilliant performances from Richard Basangwa who set up Seif Bate but he failed to beat goalkeeper Kagiri Micheal.
Gaddafi’s dominance saw Mulimi Frank rattle between two defenders to remain with a keeper to beat but his effort hit the wood work in the 36th minute of the game.
Patrick Sserunjogi managed to force goalkeeper Paul Mujapani in to a save with his finger tips as his effort was directed for goal in the 38th minute.
The second stanza saw Shaban Mohammed miss a couple of chances as his close range header went above the cross bar as the hosts failed to find the back of the net.
The visitors of Gaddafi FC held onto their nerves as they defended brilliantly in an environment dominated by the Onduparaka fans as the game ended 0-0.
A draw for both sides ensures that their is no winner as both sides have managed to collect a point as they visited each other as the first game ended in a 2-2 draw.
The caterpillars now sit 12th with 18 points as Gaddafi FC sit 8th with 25 points.
What Next
Onduparaka will travel to Luweero as they face URA FC in the league as Gaddafi FC will host Express FC on match day 20.
