Ten Uganda amateur golfers have left for the famous Magical Kenya Open thanks to Absa Bank Uganda.
These will be taking part in the Pro-Am leg due March 3-6 at the Muthaiga Golf Club in Nairobi.
It’s a big chance for the Ugandan contingent who will get a chance to rub shoulders with the professionals.
The tournament has already attracted over 156 professionals.
Absa bank’s Sponsorship is an extension of their support towards golf after they sponsored the Uganda Golf Open last year.
“As a brand that has been part of Golf in Uganda, we understand why its important for golfers to meet, interact with and play alongside peers from different countries and on international stages,” Absa Bank Uganda Managing Director Mumba Kalifungwa briefly commented.
Two Sports journalists – Innocent Ndawula (Daily Monitor) and Michael Nsubuga (New Vision) – are part of Uganda contingent that were sent off by Absa Bank Uganda.
Ronald Rugumayo is the only Uganda’s representative at the Magical Kenya Open after he was awarded with one of the only four available wild cards to the event.
