The FUFA Referee’s disciplinary pannel has banned assistant referees Hakim Mulindwa and Samuel Mbambali from officiating in the Uganda premier league for a period of 25 days.

Mulindwa was found guilty of cancelling out Express FC’s goal which could have gifted the home team a win in their 1-1 draw against Tooro United in a game played at Wankulukuku.

Mulindwa flagged goal scorer Joseph Akandwanaho for being offside as his positioning was not in line with the last defender of Tooro United hence cancelling a clear goal.

On the 16th of February 2022 in a match played at Barifa stadium in Arua, assistant referee Samuel Mbabali was found guilty of failing to raise an offside flag in the build up to their second goal against Police FC.

Arua Hill FC player received a ball in an offside position and he set up his teammate who scored for the home side as assistant referee Mbabali was not in line to observe a clear offside in the build up play.

Hakim Mulindwa who holds the 2022 FIFA budge and Samuel Mbabali will now be demoted to officiate in the lower leagues as they improve on their officiating during their suspension period.
