Rebranded JT Jaguars Plunder JKL, UCU for Players

New-looking JT Jaguars has poached players from JKL Lady Dolphins and UCU Lady Canons ahead of the Basketball season tip off.

JT Jaguars will play in the Second Division after rebranding from JKL Junior Lady Dolphins.

Per reports, the team is owned by former JKL Dolphins franchise president Jeff Nyagenya.

It is said that Nyagenya took over the two JKL Junior teams and the Academy after parting ways with Fredrick ‘Freedom’ Owora, his former partner at JKL.

Owora, commonly known as Freedom in the basketball circles, remained with the two JKL senior teams – JKL Dolphins (Men) and JKL Lady Dolphins (Women) – that compete in the National Basketball League.

Rhoda Naggita has reportedly joined JT Jaguars

JT Jaguars has already added JKL Lady Dolphins trio of Zainah Lokwameri, Muhayimuna Namuwaya and Brenda Ayere (Zainah’s sister).

Rhoda Nagitta, Brenda Kayaga, Anette Among and Sarafina Dracula have reportedly joined from UCU.

Other new signings include Patricia Alado from Angels, Winnie Anyango and Marion Esther from KIU Rangers.

The team will be coached by Yesman Bushiri (JKL) and Sudi Ulanga (UCU) as they target NBL promotion on first attempt.

The league basketball season is set to tip off on March 11 2022, for all Divisions.
