The Uganda Premier League Secretariat has set new dates for three league games including Express Vs KCCA.
These new developments were confirmed on Monday 21st February through a letter signed by UPL CEO Bainamani Bernard Bampaire
The match between Express and KCCA was set to be played on Friday 4th March at the Wankulukuku Stadium, their second league meeting of the season.
However, the said Fixture has been brought to a day forward from Friday to Thursday 3rd March to give room to the U17 Women’s team that will face Ethiopia on 4th March at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
“The UPL Secretariat is in receipt of a communication from FUFA notifying us that our U17 Women’s national team is scheduled to play Ethiopia on 4th March 2022 at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende. We have been advised to reschedule all league matches that were scheduled on this date.
Accordingly, the following matches have been brought forward by a day from Friday 4thMatch 2022 to Thursday 3rd March 2022. Time and venue remain unchanged,” reads a statement from UPL.
The other rescheduled game is between Mbarara City and URA FC that will be played at Kakyeka Stadium on the same day on Thursday.
The SC Villa Vs Busoga United game at Njeru is the third contest that has also been affected by the new changes from UPL
