Beach Soccer Player Banned for 6 months

The FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel (FCDP) has banned KIU Beach Soccer club player Muftau Yinusa Ayinla (Shirt No.10) for six months from all football activities.

The player has been found guilty of breaching Article 31(2) and 31(3) of the FUFA Competitions Rules.

During Match day 5 between St Lawrence BSC vs KIU BSC fixture on 30th January 2022 at Mutoola Beach Resort, Muftau violently attacked a match official which is contrary to the FUFA Competitions Rules and Regulations.

The statement from FUFA says that the player’s actions put the game of football into disrepute.

“As a result, proceedings were opened against the player’s actions and thus Muftau has been fined for six months,” reads a statement in part.

The sanction starts with immediate effect from 17th February and ends on 17th August 2022.

Furthermore, should the player fail to heed to the sanctions, the FUFA CDP shall be constrained to take stronger disciplinary measures against all parties involved.

However, despite all the new developments, Fufa Competitions Disciplinary Panel has given Muftau a right of appeal.
