•Proline 1-0 Nyamityobora
Proline FC managed to overcome struggling Nyamityobora to get their FUFA Big League second round campaign up and running.
The hosts needed a 72nd minute goal from substitute Joshua Musoke to collect the needed points.
Musoke, off the bench, collected from Joshua Okiror to fire in from outside the box for the only goal of the game.
Musoke’s effort slightly took a deflection to leave goalkeeper Michael Lutaaya rooted to his line.
Nyamityobora had proved a hard nut to crack and were on course for a point in a game they barely threatened up front.
Proline would have finished off the game in the opening half but were very blunt on the day.
The best chance fell to Brian Umony but the veteran forward failed to capitalise on Lutaaya’s blunder who fumbled with an easy cross, for Umony to poke over the bar with an unguarded net at his mercy.
Umony was denied twice by Lutaaya, including a brilliant header at near post from a tight angle.
Brian Mato freekick was kept out, Kevin Obua saw his long range drive fly an inch over the bar while Kimbugwe made a timely tackle to deny Noordin Bunjo at point blank range.
The win, fourth for Proline this season, temporarily send the side out of the relegation zone with 13 points while Nyamityobora remain on 7.
