Alex Gitta Lauds ‘Disciplined’ Moses Aliro

Wakiso Giants coach Alex Gitta was in high praise for his player Moses Aliro after the team’s impressive start to the second round of the Uganda Premier League.

Aliro scored twice and made the other two assists as Wakiso Giants beat Gaddafi FC 4-1 at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

Gitta said that Aliro is a disciplined player and highlighted his versatility since joining the Purple Sharks from KCCA FC.

“Moses Aliro is a disciplined player and always eager to learn as he takes on new challenges,” Gitta said.

“He started the season as a wing back, also supported in midfield and today he was among the two strikers and he played better.”

Aliro who was named the Pilsner Man of the Match, has scored five goals for Wakiso Giants, joint top scorer for the club in the league this season tied with Titus Ssematimba.

The win was sweet revenge for Wakiso Giants who lost the reverse fixture in added time thanks to a Yunus Sibira goal at Gaddafi Arena in Jinja.

Gitta credited the win on better preparations that enabled them rectify their mistakes in the first round encounter.

“We have taken our time to prepare and analyse what we played against Gaddafi when we were there and see how we could break them,” Gitta stated.

“It has proved that we prepared well, utilized our chances and got the result that we wanted.”

On the second round targets, coach Gitta revealed: “Our main target in the second round is to collect a maximum of 26 points as we look to secure safety in in the top flight league.”

Wakiso Giants currently sit fifth on the log with 27 points and they managed to collect 24 points in the first round which puts them in a better position for safety.
