Preview – Busoga United Hoping For Better Fortunes At Kakindu

Busoga United will be seeking to get off the mark in their rescheduled league game when they host URA FC at Kakindu for the very first time this season.

Busoga United moves to Kakindu having hosted at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru where they collected just four points from the six games!

Kakindu was their first priority before the start of the season but it was not licensed due to a couple of missing requirements including a perimeter fence.

With the stadium having received a Greenlight, the struggling hosts who sit three points below Onduparaka, will be hoping for a positive result as they target to end the first round on a high.

They have been quiet in the transfer market during the concluded January window but the team’s biggest undoing in the first round have been administrative and the club is on the brink of extinction.

The visitors on the other hand, can move as high as third if they leave Jinja city with maximum points.

After a shaky start, the Tax Collectors have knitted a couple of good results and their recent 3-0 away win at Bright Stars was a big indicator that they have turned the corner.

The result didn’t suggest what clearly happened on the pitch, with Steven Mukwala gifted a brace by a poor Bright Stars defence, but the target man showed his poaching instincts to lift up his side.

Shafic Kagimu and Saidi Kyeyune are yet to get their rhythm and that will be a big worry for coach Sam Timbe going into the second round.
