Onduparaka 1-1 KCCA FC

Onduparaka FC came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with KCCA FC in the rescheduled game played at the Bombo military playground.
Defender Filbert Obenchan scored in his own net in the 38th minute of the game to cancel out an early goal scored by Dennis Iguma earlier.
A brilliant first half dominated by the Kasasiro boys from the start of the game saw KCCA FC receive the first chance on goal but a Kasirye header was saved by goalkeeper Kagiri Michael.
In the 18th minute of the game, defender Denis Iguma headed in a well take corner by Gift Ali to give the visitors a deserved lead.
KCCA FC kept on pressing but their efforts couldn’t beat the Onduparaka goalkeeper with Patrick Kaddu heading wide while Kasirye was denied.
Onduparaka had a chance to level the scores in the 33rd minute of the game but Emmanuel Oketch could only manage to shoot wide.
In the 38th minute, the hosts prayers were answered as Obenchan headed back to his goalkeeper who had moved out of goal and the ball could find the net for an equaliser for the caterpillars.
The Kasasiro boys kept on pushing but their efforts could not find the back of the net as they failed to penetrate into the Onduparaka defence as half time ended in a draw.
In the second half of the game, Mohammed Shaban missed a clear tap in to put the hosts a head in the 54th minute of the game as the ball squeezed through the KCCA FC defence.
Onduparaka were allowed to make a come back in the game as they dominated the midfield which saw Benjamin Ochan blocs Baden Mujahid shot as Jurua Hassan stood tall to block a rebound from Ronald Mubiru in the 57th minute.
In the late minutes of the game, Sadat Anaku was gifted a chance to put KCCA FC in the lead but his shot hit the post after being set up by Patrick Kaddu for a keeper to beat in the 88th minute of the game as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
KCCA FC now remain in the second position on the log with 32 points from 15 games with just a point below Vipers who lead the table.
Onduparaka now move to 14 points in 15 games with just three points above the relegation zone in the 13position.
What next
KCCA FC will now turn focus onto the start of second round as they host URA FC at home. Onduparaka will have a long trip as they visit Tooro United in the league.
