Police FC Confirms all January Transfer signings

Uganda Premier League side Police FC has officially unveiled five new players on both short and long term deals from the just-concluded January transfer window.

The unveiling ceremony of the new recruits was held at the Police headquarters in Naguru on Tuesday.

In one of the new signings is sharpshooter Marvin Oshaba, who joined from Tooro United on a short term deal of six months that will keep him at the club till the end of the season.

Former Express FC forward Frank Kalanda and John Lincoln (Sc Villa) also join the Cops on a short term spell of six months.

For Bernard Katerega (Buwambo) and John Kitanda (Najja 2 FC), they join the Abdallah Mubiru coached side each on a three-year’s employment contract.

On an event attended by the club’s chairman AIGP Asan Kasingye, he promised to give full support to the new signings.

“We not only nurture talent but also support our players to go and practice their talent elsewhere. We take you like our children and we shall support you,” he stated.

In the just concluded January transfer market, the club also lost forward Brian Mayanja Muluuli, who crossed to Tanzania premier league side Mtibwa Sugar.

As a result, there was need to fill the void left especially in the striking force at the Lugogo based side as they gear up for the second round of the Uganda Premier League.

After 15 games played, Police FC who had a low start into the UPL season finished in the 10th position with 16 points.

They will be away to Arua Hill SC this week on Saturday 5th February in their first game of the second round.
