Vipers SC Loans Out Richard Basangwa

Vipers Sports Club forward Richard Basangwa has joined Jinja based club Gadaffi FC on loan for the remaining part of th ongoing 2021/22 UPL season.

The new developments were confirmed via Vipers official website on 1st February as the January transfer window climaxed.

At Vipers that is filled with a lot of talent, Basangwa has found it difficult to break through the first team ever since making his debut against Kitara in December 2020.

Another big factor that has hindered his progress at the Kitende based side is the long term injury he sustained, that had kept him out of active football for almost a full season.

However, earlier this month, Basangwa recovered from the long Injury layoff and he has been training with the Venoms for the previous weeks.

At Gaddafi, he joins another forward Brian Kalumba, who is also on a seasonal long loan deal from Vipers.

Speaking about his new challenge, Basangwa had this to say.
“It’s a good chance to revive myself. I’ve worked hard over the last few weeks since coming back from injury and am determined to develop further through this opportunity.”

Gaddafi who are in their maiden top flight experience finished 8th on the log with 21 points after 15 games played.
