Mashood Ssali will be the centre referee for the rescheduled Uganda Premier League match between Onduparaka and KCCA FC due February 3 2022.
The game that will be played this Thursday at Bombo will see Dick Okello and Isa Masembe as first and second assistants respectively.
Asaduh Ssemeere is the fourth official while Ali Tomusange will be the Referee assessor.
The match was abandoned on December 27 2021 in added time when home fans stormed the Greenlight Stadium in Arua to protest Referee Ronald Madanda’s decision to award KCCA FC a late penalty.
The game was 2-2. FUFA ordered for the whole match to be replayed at a neutral venue – Bombo Military Barracks ground.
Consequently, Referee Madanda was suspended until June for his poor show during the game including wrongly awarding Onduparaka a penalty earlier in the game.
In addition, Onduparaka were deducted two points and as many goals, handed a suspended closed Stadium game ban, player Rashid Okocha was banned until May 2022 while Onduparaka CEO was suspended for 30 days.
By the time the league took a break, KCCA FC were top of the log with 31 points, one above second placed Vipers SC who also have the same games played.
Appointments for Other Rescheduled Matches
The league return returns after close to one month ever since breaking off at the start of January this year.
On Tuesday February 1st, the first game as Bright Stars host URA FC at Kavumba will see Shamirah Nabadda serve as the centre referee for the said contest.
Mulindwa Hakim and Nkumbi Alex will act as the first and Second assistants respectively. Richard Kimbowa will be the Match official will Adipo Catherine as the referee assessor.
Bright Stars new head coach Paul Kiwanuka, who rejoined the club earlier this week will be taking charge of his first home game.
The following day in a rescheduled game, Vipers will host SC Villa at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende. Olemu George will serve as the Centre referee for the contest, while Katenya Ronald and Okello Lee as the first and second assistants.
Bakasamabe Rajab will act as the Fourth official while Rwamuyamba Rosebell as the Referee assessor.
