Sunday, January 30
•Mbale Heroes 4-1 Blacks Power
•NEC FC 2-0 Admin FC

Mbale Heroes rolled over Blacks Power to storm the round of 32 of the ongoing Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The Heroes, now in Regional League, put up an energetic near-perfect performance to beat the FUFA Big League side for four.

They however needed to come from down after Blacks Power took the lead through Hassan Mohamad at CRO Stadium in Mbale.

Defender Wako Ivan scored in the first half to level matters before a second-half blitz.

Midfeilders Kibirango Herbert, Nsamba Fahad and winger Haruna Lukwago scored a goal each to confirm Mbale Heroes place in the last 32.

Mbale Heroes is one of the few Regional League sides remaining in the competition

The side will hope to exorcise demons of 1976 and 1999 when they won the Uganda Cup as Gangama United and Dairy Heroes respectively.

Sunday’s results brings a close to the round of 64 matches of Stanbic Uganda Cup, but two fixtures (Super Eagles Vs SC Villa, Kigezi Homeboyz Vs Vipers) are yet to have dates as Vipers and Villa gave players on National team.
