Uganda premier league side MbararaCity have acquired the services of Luweero United forward Henry Musisi on a short term deal untill the end of the season.
The new developments were confirmed on Sunday via the club’s social media accounts.
“? Welcome Home, ?????? ?????! He joins the Ankole Lions on a short term deal until the end of the season.He joins us from big league side Luweero United,” reads a statement from Mbarara City.
Musisi, a product of the Buganda kingdom organised Masaza Cup, was part of the Bulemezi side that beat Busiro 1-0 in the finals held at Bamboole stadium in 2019.
At Mbarara, he is expected to boost their striking force as they gear up for the UPL second round due early next month.
He now becomes the third signing in this January transfer market after Najib Tusaba and Charles Sempa who joined the Ankole Lions the previous week. For Otti Ronald, he extended his contract that will keep him at the club till the end of the season.
The club already lost their former captain Hillary Mukundane who crossed to Vipers SC recently while youngster Onyai Raymond terminated his contract by mutual consent.
Mbarara City, who are now under the stewardship of new head coach Sadik Ssempiji, will kick start their second round with an away game to Busoga United on Tuesday 8th next week.
