West Nile Regional League side Paidha Black Angels take a short trip to Hoima to face Kitara Regional League side Bujumbura United SC at the Kibanjwa playground in the Uganda Cup round of 64.
The Blacks eliminated Nebbi Hotspring 6-5 in the shootouts after a one all draw, picked a walkover after Arua Soccer Academy failed to honour the second round fixture, in the third round they also needed a 4-3 penalties after another one all draw away to Pakwach Super Eagles in the West Nile Region Preliminary round.
Last season, Paidha Black Angels was knocked out in the round of 32 by Soltilo Bright Stars on 3-2 aggregate score.
The Blacks were 1-0 winners in the first leg at the Bar Okoro Stadium before losing 3-1 in the second leg at Kavumba Recreation Ground.
Paidha Black Angels are second in the West Nile Regional League Nyagak group with 14 points in 7 matches. They have won 4 games, 2 draws and 1 lose.
They have scored 10 goals and conceeded 5. The paidha based side came from two goals down to draw 2-2 away to Mvara Boys in the last league game.
Speaking ahead of the game, Paidha Black Angels Head Coach Nega Abraham is full of confidence and positive his side will progress to the next round.
“The squad is not all that bad its good and we are determined but we don’t underrate any team,” Says Nega.
“Bujumbura is also playing at the same level as us but our brand is bigger than theirs thats one advantage we have.
“We are determined, we are going to win, we shall progress to the Round of 32.”
For Bujumbura United SC, they are 4th in the Kitara Regional League Albert Group with 11 points in six matches. They have won 3 matches, two draws and 0ne lose.
Bujumbura who won their last league game 3-2 away to Victorious FC, have scored 9 league goals and conceeded 7.
In the Kitara Region preliminary rounds, Bujumbura United eliminated Kyamugwera before a 4-1 victory over Dove FC, they were 2-0 winners against Bugoigo Leopards to book a place in the Round of 64.
