Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka were 3-0 winners over Zombo District fourth Division side Paidha United in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 at the Bar Okoro Stadium.
Gabriel Matata scored a brace after Oloro Nathan had given the Caterpillars the lead from the spot.
As expected, Onduparaka started on a high note looking for an early goal to set the tone.
And Oloro did just that when he gave Onduparaka a deserved lead from the spot in the 11th minute after Matata was fouled in the area.
Oloro would have doubled the visitors advantage but he failed to capitalise on a glorious chance after receiving the ball from Baden Mujahid before both Matata and Baden also missed more chances.
Matata finally doubled Onduparaka’s lead with a thunderbolt in the 28th minute.
He could have completed his brace at the half hour mark but he hit the woodwork.
Matata finally completed his brace and putting Onduparaka 3-0 up at the start of second half in 47th minute when he directed an header home off James Jarieko’s corner.
Matata would have got his hat-trick five minutes later but he failed to connect with Baden header.
Onduparaka joins Mbarara City, URA, Wakiso Giants, Busoga United, KCCA, Gadafi FC, Luwero United, Ndejje University, Kajjansi United, Rusekere Growers among others in the Round of 32.
