Head coach Mike Mutebi’s debut at AS Kigali FC ended in a goalless draw against APR FC in a Rwanda Premier League match held on Saturday at Kigali stadium.
Mutebi who was unveiled last week on Wednesday as new head coach for AS Kigali, was taking charge of his first game in the Rwanda Premier League.
Against current leaders APR FC, Mutebi’s men failed to find a breakthrough and thus settled for a point in a game that saw limited chances.
The result saw AS Kigali remain in the third position with now points, after 14 games so far and are still four points behind leaders APR.
Former KCCA right back Denis Rukundo was named in Mutebi’s starting team as the Citizens picked a point on the day.
Up next for As Kigali will be an away game to Etoile de L’Est on Thursday at Ngoma Stadium.
With a few days to the next task, Mutebi together with his assistant Jackson Mayanja will hope for maximum points as they take charge of their next Rwanda Premier league game.
