Former Vipers SC Midfielder Jamil Kalisa has officially been unveiled at As Kigali as Mike Mutebi’s first Signing.
His official unveiling ceremony was made Official on Friday as the club seeks to strengthen their team.
The former Bright Stars attacking midfielder joins the Rwandan premier league side after terminating his contract at Uganda Premier league side Vipers SC, where he had initially signed a four year deal in July 2020.
Ever since joining the Kitende based club, Kalisa failed to cement a starting place in the team facing stiff competition from Bobosi Byaruhanga, Siraje Sentamu among others who have been ahead of him in the pecking order.
At As Kigali, he becomes the first signing for Mike Mutebi, who joined the club as head coach earlier this week on Wednesday.
Mutebi will be deputised by Jackson Mayanja a former Uganda national team legend.
Up next for As Kigali will be a home game this Saturday against current leaders APR and Kaliisa is expected to mark his debut at the club.
After 13 games so far, As Kigali are sitted third with 23 points, four below current leaders APR.
