The Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) and Mbarara Motor Club have come to an agreement ahead of the Rukaari Lake Mburo rally which is to open up the National Rally Championship calendar slated to take place on the 22nd of January.
This has come up after the Ministry of works and Transport issued a speed limit instrument to Mbarara Motor Club organisers of the Rukaari Lake Mburo rally.
“In regard to the compliance of Mbarara Motor Club in its preparation of the Rukaari Lake Mburo rally 2022 and the new developments from the Ministry of works and Transport which has granted a speed limit instrument, FMU is allowing the event to proceed,” reads a statement from FMU.
Earlier, FMU had called off the rally as a result of Mbarara Motor Club failing to submit in the required documents of conformity with the recommendations of FMU and the Ministry of works and Transport.
The event publicity, Stuart Kimera has also confirmed that the FMU and Mbarara Motor Club have harmonized on all grounds for the rally to go on as earlier arranged after the submission of the speed limit instrument.

“I call upon all the fans to come and grace the event which is the opener of this year’s National Rally Championship.” Added Kimera.
The Rukaari Lake Mburo rally will be graced with a rich entry list of experienced driver like the Shell racing team duo of Arthur Blick and Ronald Ssebuguzi.
