National broadcaster UBC TV will air the home tie of Uganda U20 Women World Cup qualifying match against Ghana live from St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
It’s good news to ears of most Ugandans who may not have a chance to access Kitende.
The home tie which serves as the first leg of the two ties will be played on Saturday January 22, at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende before the return leg in two week time down in Ghana.
The Nile avenue based station has been key in bringing live coverage of Uganda women football closer to the eyes of the members of the public, having broadcasted many FUFA women competitions.
UBC TV also aired live the initial rounds of this very qualifiers which were against Kenya and South Africa where the girls won to reach this stage.
Currently, the girls are already in residential camp at Kisasi Paradise hotel, conducting intense training with the help practice matches at KCCA FC’s home ground in Lugogo.
If Uganda successfully negotiate past Ghana over the two legs, they will face either Tanzania or Ethiopia in the final round which they also need to win before declared one of the African representatives in the final tournament to be hosted in August 2022, down in Costa Rica.
