•Moldova 2-3 Uganda
Uganda Cranes showed character against Moldova as they rallied from two goals down to win 3-2 at the Titanic Sports Centre in Antalya, Turkey.
Moldova were on course for a comfortable win after goals from Dmitri Madricenco and Mihail Platica put the side two up inside the first quarter of the game.
But Patrick Kaddu’s penalty brace and Milton Karisa’s exquisite strike helped Uganda have the last laugh.
Yunus Sentamu was tripped in the area for Kaddu to halve the deficit in the 34th minute.
And Uganda almost found an equaliser but Shaban Muhammad’s effort from a tight angle was saved.
Karisa picked his moment after the hour-mark when he found the net with a strong effort with the outside of his right foot.
With 15 minutes to time, Shaban was later fouled outside the box, and Moldova defender handled Rogers Mato’s resultant free kick for the Female referee to point to the spot.
And Kaddu calmly sent the goalkeeper the wrong side to spark wild celebrations from the Cranes contingent in Antalya.
It’s the third friendly for Cranes who are on tour to Europe and Asia.
Coached by Milutin Micho Sredojevic, the Cranes earlier drew Iceland (1-1) thanks to Kaddu penalty while Sentamu and Bobosi Byaruhanga scored a goal each as the team drew 2-2 with Romanian Club Botosani.
