Moses Aliro scored the all important goal for Wakiso Giants to eliminate Regional League side Kiyinda Boys in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 at the Saaza Ground in Mityana.
The Buganda Regional League side would have taken the lead in the 14th minute from the spot but Goalkeeper Samson Kirya saved the was outstanding to keep out captain Joseph Senoga penalty.
Two minutes after the hosts missed from the spot, Titus Ssematimba found Moses Aliro with a nice assist to break the deadlock for Wakiso Giants.
And Aliro’s goal proved to be the difference in a game of limited chances.
Despite putting up a great show, Regional League Kiyinda Boys journey in the Uganda Cup comes to an end as they turn their attention to the Buganda Regional League.
The Purple Sharks who were knocked out by Police at the Quarterfinals last season, will await the Cup draw to learn their next opponent.
