Former KCCA FC manager Mike Hillary Mutebi is to set to take over the vacant head coach role at Rwanda top tier side, AS Kigali, The SportsNation sources have been told.
It has been revealed that the two parties have been in negotiations to see that they can reach a final agreement.
Mutebi has been jobless since March last year when he parted ways with KCCA FC and the deal comes at time when he is readily available for any new challenge.

At As Kigali, Mutebi is expected to take over Jimmy Mukisa who replaced Eric Nshimiyimana after he was sacked in December last year.
Last year, reports had it that the former KCCA FC manager was being linked to a number of clubs both locally and outside Uganda. Quick to mention here at home is Vipers SC and Azam FC in Tanzania.
Adding on the long list of Mutebi’s admirers was Kiyovu FC, another club in Rwanda a club that almost finalised a deal to land the gaffer in May last year.

However, the deal hit a dead end at the last hour after both parties failed to agree on certains terms of employment.
Currently this season, AS Kigali are in 4th position with 20 points after 12 games, five below current leaders Kiyovu Sports.
