Big League side Kataka FC have been knocked out of the Stanbic Uganda Cup by minnows Rusekere Growers FC.
Rocky Ayebale scored a lone goal in the 20th minute at the Rusekere play grounds in Kabarole.
The hosts created the best chances and could have won by a better margin if it was not for good display by Kataka FC goalkeeper Edward Kasibante.
Kataka FC tried to stage a comeback but their efforts didn’t pay off as Rusekere looked organised at either side of the pitch.
In the second half of the game, Rusekere Growers FC were pinned on the recieving end as Kataka FC pressed high for an equaliser but Godfrey Kambale stood up to make a couple of saves.
Rusekere Growers FC now join Booma FC as the two sides from Kitara region to progress to the round of 32.
