Heathens managed to edge rivals KOBs in a closely contested affair in a Rugby Premiership game at Kyadondo.
KOBs took the lead through a well converted penalty from Joseph Aredo but they failed to capitalise on their advantage as Heathens staged a comeback in the second stanza.
Innocent Gwokto scored the game’s only Try and Aaron Ofoyrwoth duly split the uprights to send Heathens up-front.
Despite Josiah Ssempeke bringing KOBs within touching distance when he converted another penalty, Heathens held on for a needed win.
It was a deserved victory for Heathens against KOBs who beat the record league winners 19-11 last season at Legends.
Heathens continues their impressive start to the new season having beaten Buffaloes 50-00 in the opener last weekend.
It’s the first defeat for KOBs this season, a side that won the league last season unbeaten. They beat Impis 46-05 in their opener last weekend at Legends and face another difficult task when leaders Pirates visit next Saturday.
Elsewhere, Isaac Massa scored four tries as Pirates eased past Rams 64-03 at Kings Park in Bweyogerere. James Mugisha had a brace while William Nkore, Kelvin Balagadde, Frank Kidega and Haruna Muhammed added a try each.
Jinja Hippos beat Warriors at Dam Waters for their first win of the season, Buffaloes and Impis shared Spoils at Kyadondo while Mongers were 11-10 winners over Impis in Entebbe.
