The developments were confirmed by an official letter from FUFA which was duly signed by Kyetume FC CEO Martin Namugera on behalf of the contractor and Kambugu him self on behalf on contracted party.

Reasons for his termination remains unclear, however, different sources connects to many months of unpaid salary.

The striker has not played a part this season with a source at the club claiming “Incompetence, Indiscipline, Poor Performance and inconsistency.”

He has always absconded trainings that he is sick yet he has played other matches (Bichuba) elsewhere,” a source at the club told The-SportsNation.

Kambugu was one of the key figures at Mukono based side, when earning their maiden promotion to 2019/20 Uganda Premier league before they were demoted back to Big League.

The 2019 Uganda Cup joint top scorer, is most remembered for his only goal he scored against SC Villa on his debut and that of his club in 2019/20 official league opener played under floodlight at Mandela national stadium.

The Slaughters went into the league break in 3rd on the table with 17 points from 10 matches, just a point below table leaders Black powers and second placed Kataka, who are both on 18.
