Uganda Premier League side URA FC has announced the return of Hema Beverages Limited as a club partner.
The deal, unveiled on Tuesday at URA offices in Nakawa, will see Hema Drinking water as the official Beverages partner for the next two years.
Hema returns to the club after their previous deal between 2015 and 2017.
Uganda Revenue Authority Commissioner of Corporate Services Richard Kariisa who was representing the Commissioner General, commended both parties (URA FC and Hema) for ensuring that the deal comes to fruition.

Kariisa said that this is part of the Authority’s plan to see that the club becomes sustainable rather than depending on the Authority’s budget.
He added: “This partnership between URA FC and Hema Water will help grow local football and
invest time and money into causes that can make a difference especially in the lives of the youth.”
Robert Kigula, Head of Sales Marketing at Hema Beverages expressed his delight adding that they are “proud” to join URA FC.
“We are delighted to support this great team,” Kigula said. “We believe that our local football is improtant and we shall support it in any way we can.”

The deal will see Hema supply water to the team and also offer other support to enable the team.
Hema Logo will be printed on the left sleeve of the URA FC jerseys starting with the second round of the ongoing 2021/22 season.
It was confirmed that these branded Jerseys will be used in all competitions URA FC will be taking part in including Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup except the CAF games.
The Financial implication of the deal were not revealed, with Hema saying that “there are other areas that we agreed that we will be looking at to support the team when the need arises.”

URA FC Chairman Dr Micah Gaalya said that working together with Hema will help the club move to greater heights.
Gaalya added: “Water is an important aspect for Sportsmen if you want him to give you good performances.”
URA FC CEO Henry Mayeku called it a “proud moment” for the club and stated that they will give Hema brand visibility and they will also benefit from the club’s digital platforms and feature at club events as well.

Coached by Sam Timbe, the 4-time UPL are 13th on the log with 22 points from 13 games. They side will play minnows Total FC in the round of 64 of the Uganda Cup.
