Big League: FUFA Fines MYDA FC for Hooliganism

Fufa Big League side MYDA FC has been fined by the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary panel, its official.

The Tororo based side have been fined Sh1M which must be paid within 15 days after ugly scenes against Calvary FC Midigo at the King George Memorial stadium on Sunday 2nd January which ended in a one all draw.

Norman Brown scored a 80th minute winner for visitors Calvary FC but the goal was controversially cancelled after protests from the home team who stormed into the pitch.

The referee had counted the goal and Calvary FC were already celebrating before MYDA officials and fans entered the pitch intimidating the referee and the fourth official to cancel the goal claiming that it was offside which later prompted the match Officials to change their mind and cancel the goal.

MYDA are bottom of the log with 6 points after 10 matches while Calvary FC are 5th with 16 points.

The FUFA Big League is played in a single group and the top 3 teams automatically qualifies to the top flight while 3 are relegated to the Regional League.

The second tier league will resume after the second round fixtures are released.
