Steven Desse Mukwala was on target as URA FC beat KCCA FC 1-0 to end the Kasasiro boys unbeaten run in a league game at the Arena of visions stadium in Luweero.
Mukwala headed in off a corner taken by Saidi Kyeyune in the 37th minute of the game to gift the hosts a halftime lead.
KCCA FC dominated the game from the first minute of play but failed to utilize their scoring opportunities as they couldn’t beat Nafian Alionzi who also pulled a save to deny Usama Arafat shot in opening exchanges.
Alionzi kept out a close header from Davies Kasirye off a beautiful cross by Brian Majwega in the 18th minute of the game.

But KCCA FC will feel hard done for having two goals disallowed; Alionzi parried away a Kasirye header but Sadat Anaku scored the rebound which was ruled out for offside.
And also Mato Rodgers’s goal was ruled out by the linesman as he judged Anaku to have interfered with play.
In the 36th minute, URA FC had a chance for goal but Derrick Ochan saved a Brian Nkuubi shot into the corner and the resulting corner was scored by Mukwala as KCCA FC failed to defend a cross from Kagimu.
The Kasasiro boys tried to push for an equaliser but the tax collectors stood on their feet to defend as a team ending the first half on a 1-0 lead.
The second stanza was fully dominated by KCCA FC as they looked to at least secure a point away at the Arena of visions stadium.
Arafat Usama and Ashraf Mugume had chances for scoring but their efforts went wide as they couldn’t find the back of the net.
Substitute Gift Ali also had his effort on goal but his shot hit the cross bar in the 82nd minute of the game as KCCA FC failed to secure a point.
URA FC win has now ended KCCA FC’S unbeaten run in the Startimes Uganda Premier League. The Kasasiro boys maintain their position on the top of the table after their nemesis Vipers SC also dropped points at home as they drew 1-1 with BUL FC.
URA FC has not just ended KCCA FC’s un beaten run but also maintaining a perfect run against the Kasasiro boys.
The tax collectors now move to the 7th position on the log with 22 points as KCCA FC lead the log with 31 points.

The league will now take a break ahead of the Second round.
