KCCA FC has confirmed the return of defender Filbert Obenchan who has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Lugogo based club.
Obenchan was a vital key figure under Coach Mike Mutebi who promoted him to the senior team from the KCCA soccer academy.
A product of the FUFA Juniors league, Obenchan helped the Kasasiro boys clinch a couple of silverware as he won the CECAFA Kagame cup, one league tittle, a Uganda cup, one super 8 and two super cups before running down his 6 years spell at club.
In the 2021/2022 summer, Obenchan was highly linked to joining URA FC but the deal fell through as coach Sam Ssimbwa was relieved off his duties at the club.
He has since remained clubless and later making a return to his boy hood club as he will put on the number 35 shirt on his return which will see him stay at the club till 2025.
Filbert Obenchan previously had a four (4) year loan spell with UPDF FC in quest for fort team football before making a break through to the KCCA senior team.
