There was a drama in the FUFA Big League match between MYDA and Calvary FC Midigo at King George memorial stadium on Sunday 2nd January.
Adriko Nasir gave the visiting Calvary FC the lead in the second minute before the hosts equalised in the second half.
Norman Brown thought he had scored a 80th minute winner for Calvary FC but his goal was cancelled after protests from the home team.
According to Calvary FC Media Officer Fudribo Owen Ezaga, the referee had pointed to the centre to allow the goal and the players went for celebration before MYDA officials and fans entered the pitch intimidating the referee and the fourth official to cancel the goal claiming it was offside which later prompted the match Officials to call off the goal and the game resumed!
MYDA are bottom of the log with 6 points in 10 matches while Calvary FC are 5th with 16 points in 10 points.
The second tier league is played in a single group and the top 3 teams qualifies automatically to the Uganda Premier League.
Fufa Big League will resume in February after second round fixtures are released.
