Clinton Kamugisha Leaves Troubled Nyamityobora Ahead of UPL Switch

Forward Clinton Kamugisha has left troubled FUFA Bug league side Nyamityobora FC ahead of his anticipated UPL Switch.

Kamugisha, who topped the FUFA Big League top scorers charts last season with 12 goals, made the new developments official via his Official social media account on Monday, January 3rd 2022.

“Today, I depart from an Amazing club….I gave my heart and soul for NYAMITYOBORA FC… I want to thank the club whole heartdly for giving me an opportunity to be part of this journey,” Kamugisha wrote on his official Facebook page

He leaves a Nyamityobora side that has had a poor run so far this season given the ongoing governance and financial troubles at the club.

They are currently in the red zone, with only 7 points after ten games in this new FUFA Big League season.

However, like any other player leaving a boyhood club, Kamugisha had some kind words for the club Management, fans and his teammates.

“I thank the team management for all your efforts to see the club move greater heights may God keep blessing you. To the fans Wawoooo?? you have really supported me and the entire team since day one.. Thank you soo much.
To my wonderful teammates I salute you… We have shared both sad and happy times together Mwebale munonga”

In his final remarks, Kamugisha would conclude by saying that he will at one time wish to play for the Abanyakare. He said “I wanted to say Goodbye to all of you. This isn’t a ‘goodbye forever’, but rather a ‘see you later’, because for sure… I will return to the club at some point…. I will never forget all the great moments I have had I wish NYAMITYOBORA FC the best??. So, thank you to all of you. A big hug for all of you. Till we meet again in the near future.”

Since the start of the season, Kamugisha has been on the radar of many UPL Giant sides given his performance in last Season’s FUFA Big League, including KCCA FC.

And now with his departure, URA FC and SC Villa have lined up as top targets for the sharpshooter.

With the January transfer window already open, the former Wakiso Giants attacker is most likely to land a new deal with any of the top tier clubs in the coming days.
