Ivan Sserubiri Suspended and Fined for Attacking Match Officials

Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club midfielder Ivan Sserubiri has been handed a one month suspension for violating the FUFA ethics and code of conduct during their 1-1 draw against Wakiso Giants at the Arena of visions stadium in Luweero.

Ivan Sserubiri attacked assistant referee Lydia Nantabo with discomfort of her officiation in the game and was found guilty of violently attacking a match official this violating the FUFA competitions rules and regulations article 31(2) and 31(3).

He will serve a one month suspension from all football related activities and also pay a fine of 500.000 ush at the expiry of his suspension on the 3rd February 2022.

The FUFA competitions disciplinary panel has had a busy as it has had several cases put up onto their table with actions that put the game of football into disrepute as well as fighting against hooliganism in the game of football.
