Maroons registered their fourth win in the 2021/22 Fufa Big League season after a 4-0 win over Nyamityobora on Sunday at their home ground in Luzira.
A brace from Emmanuel Olunga and a goal each from Fred Anaku and Abraham Tusubira ensured that Maroons finished the First round on a high.
Playing at home, Maroons started the better side and it wasn’t a surprise when they opened the scores in the first minute of game through Olunga.
With a goal ahead, the hosts kept on Knocking and it wasn’t late when they added on another through Amuka, who made it two in the 12th minute putting them in a comfortable 2-0 lead before the interval.
At the restart of the second stanza, Maroons picked from where they had stopped and it wasn’t a surprise when they added on more two goals.
In the 58th minute, Olunga scored his second on the day to make it three before Tusubira made it four six minutes later.
With four goals ahead, it was a job well done for Mohammed Senfuma Coached side against a Nyamityobora side that barely threatened on the day.
Victory ensured that Maroons finished the first round on a winning note and they move to the fourth position with 16 points after ten games played. (W4, D4, L2).
For Nyamityobora, their woes still continue as they remain in the red zone with only 7 points picked from 10 games so far. (W1, D4, L5).
