Vipers Massacre UPDF in Kitende

Vipers SC made a statement win after thumping UPDF 7-2 in the league game at the St Mary’s stadium Kitende.

Ruthless Vipers completed the job in the halftime with a dominant 6-0 display to send the Army side to school.

Ceaser Manzoki headed Vipers off the freekick as early as 5th minute, two minutes later Milton Karisa doubled the host’s lead with a low shot before Bright Anukani received the ball from Milton Karisa to make it three in the 19th minute with a powerful shot.

At the half hour mark, Yunus Sentamu tapped in from close range off Aziz Kayondo run to score the 4th goal.

Ceaser Manzoki completed his brace with a thumping header from Milton Karisa delivery in the 36th minute before debutant Emmanuel Munoobi completed from the spot in the 41st minute.

An improved UPDF in the second half pulled one back through Substitue Sabir Yasin in the 51st minutes before another Substitue Salim Huud grabbed the second for UPDF from the spot in the 66th minute in the hosts rarely chances of a comeback.

Bobosi Byaruhanga got his name on the scoresheet after he beat Goalkeeper from outside the box with a long shot from a Karim Watambala pass in the 73rd minute.

Vipers are at the summit of the table with 29 points in 12 matches while UPDF are 7th with 18 points in 13 games.

What next

Vipers will take a trip to Arua to face Arua Hill at the Barifa Stadium on Tuesday 4th January while UPDF host Police FC at the Bombo Military Barracks Ground on the same day.
