All is set for the second edition of the Lapaz annual Football Tournament 2021 that will be held at Midland High School play ground between 26th December 2021 to 2nd January 2022.
This is a football gala that brings about academies in Kawempe together to showcase different talents in the region. The first edition came in 2020 and this will be the second one organised by Lapaz Soccer Academy.
Speaking about the tournament, Denis Bakaki, the founder of Lapaz Soccer academy says the tournament is all about giving a chance to young talents.
“The tournament is about giving our players a chance to showcase their efforts and talent.

Secondly we organise it to keep up the competition between the academies in our region, and on this I think we have achieved because we see new talents every edition.”
The first day of the gala on December 26th will have the Under 9 and U11 Playing while the U13 and U15 will come later on 2nd January 2022.
A registration fee of 50,000 Ugandan Shillings will be required for each Category and it will be done before the games.
Lots of prizes are to be won under different categories. The eventual winners will walk away with a set of jerseys (T90) and 10Pcs of Gold Medals.
Screening of the players will be done on 26th December starting at 8am in the morning.

Started by Denis Bakaki in 2018, Lapaz is one of the fastest growing academies in Kawempe Division and has brought up many young talents on the land.
The academy is located in Tula Kawempe and weekly trainings are done and conducted at Midland High School play grounds.
