Preview: All Eyes On Edward Golola
Edward Golola takes Tooro United to a familiar territory as Vipers look to close gap on top at Kitende.
Golola who replaced Micheal Nam Ouma in July 2019 was shown an exit door at Kitende after the Venoms lost to minnows Kajjansi United in the Uganda Cup round of 64 via shootouts at Wankulukuku on January 23 2020.
He had also served at the club in 2009-2011 and 2014-2015 as head coach. He was an assistant to Miguel Da Costa (2017-2018) and Michael Nam Ouma (2019).
He recently said that he is open to a return at Kitende if approached, and Saturday’s game hands him the best chance to prove to Vipers faithful that still has something left.
It’s a big task for him however given the current state of his side, losing their last eight games, but they will be bank on their underdog status to spring up a shocker.
Vipers on the other hand, have no room for error and will be hoping to return to winning ways after recent poor results at Kitende.
With a game in hand, they sit six points below leaders KCCA who may drop points against Villa at Njeru.
Yunus Sentamu is expected to start again after returning with a goal against Busoga United while Bobosi Byaruhanga who started on the bench in that same game, may be recalled.
