Wakiso Giants Deny Mbarara City at Kakyeka

Wakiso Giants held Mbarara City FC to a goalless draw at their own back yard – Kakyeka Stadium.

The Visitors also looked the better side in extended stretches but could not find the back of the net.

In a game of limited chances, Joshua Lubwama came closest from the freekick but his effort was kept out by Mbarara City goalkeeper Muhammad Sekeba who started ahead of Martin Elungat.

The hosts were frustrated at home and could not create any clear glorious scoring opportunity, with Solomon Okwalinga’s searching cross going unattended to across the goal mouth.

Wakiso Giants becomes the second team to avoid defeat at Kakyeka this season after Vipers who won 2-1.

The Ankole Lions are now 9th with 14 points while Wakiso Giants remain 4th with 20 points.

What Next – Mbarara City visit URA FC on December 12 while Wakiso Giants will welcome Arua Hill.
