Uganda Cricket Association and National Women Team (Victoria Pearls) Head Coach Suraj Karavadra have parted ways.
Karavadra leaves his role just about eight months since his appointment in April 2021.
The developments are shocking but UCA says that they reached a decision to part ways by mutual consent.
“We are very grateful to Karavadra for his services, workmanship and commitment to the assignment,” reads a statement from UCA CEO Martin Ondeko.
“We wish Suraj all the best in his future endeavours.
An interim coach for the Victoria Pearls will be announced in due time.”
Karavadra’s short stint with the Vuctoria Pearls include guiding the team to the ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers in Botswana September 2021.
There, the Victoria Pearls were beaten by the Lady Chevrons of Zimbabwe in Gabarone in the semis.
Karavadra replaced Michael Ndiko at the helm, but the team was in the tutelage of Davis Turinawe by the time of his appointment.
