Preview: Mbarara City Banking on Home Advantage

Mbarara City will be banking on home support when they face Onduparaka FC in a league game on Saturday at Kakyeka Stadium.

The Ankole Lions have collected just one points, and yet to score a goal, while playing away from home.

That speaks more about their reliance on home advantage.

They are 10th on the log with 10 points, 9 of which have been collected at Kakyeka.

They come into the contest on the back of a loss against Express at Wankulukuku.

Mbarara City gave it their all, in fact, they were the better side on the day for extended stretches only for Mukundane error to gift Godfrey Lwesibawa what proved to be the winner.

They missed a couple of chances up front and these are some of the short comings Coach Hussein Mbalangu must have to work ahead of the Onduparaka game.

Onduparaka on the other hand, have drawn their last two games 1-1 and such a result will be perfect for them in Kakyeka.

They sit just four points above the drop zone and this promises to be another challenging season if they don’t collect early positive results.

Last season at Kakyeka, Living Kabon’s goal proved to be a consolation for Onduparaka after goals from Henry Kitegenyi and Bashir Mutanda got the hosts a win at Kakyeka.
