Preview: Wakiso Giants Seek to return to winning ways against on-form UPDF

The two on-form teams will face off as Wakiso Giants host UPDF FC at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium on Saturday.

Coach Alex Gitta will fancy his side’s chances for maximum points after that 1-1 draw at Onduparaka FC last time out.

Wakiso Giants have won three of their last five matches – The wins coming against Bright Stars, Tooro United and SC Villa

The Purple Sharks can move up to third with maximum points if other results go their way.

Such is a story that looked impossible when they opened the season with two losses.

UPDF on the other hand, have just lost one of their last 5 games against leaders KCCA and winning the remaining 4 against Bright Stars, Tooro United, Busoga United and Mbarara City.

However away from home, the Army side has won just once against Tooro United, losing to URA and KCCA and have drawn with Onduparaka.

The last time they met last season, Wakiso Giants were 5-1 winners at home thanks to goals fro. Ivan Bogere (2), Joshua Lubwana, Frank Ssebuufu and Viane Ssekajuko.

The first round had ended in a goalless draw in Bombo.
