Preview – Vipers Seek To Break KCCA FC’s Unbeaten Start
Vipers will go all out to snap KCCA FC’s unbeaten start into the new season when they host the Lugogo-based side at St Mary’s Stadium at Kitende.
The match pits together two of the league’s best sides in recent memory in what promises to be a pulsating affair.
KCCA FC have had a dream start into the season having won seven of their eight league games, with their only draw coming against Bright Stars.
In Vipers, they not only face their toughest opponent so far but a close title rival as well.
Morley Byekwaso’s side sit four points clear of Vipers atop the 16-team league log but the Venoms have a game in hand.
Vipers are well aware that there is no room for error having lost a game at Kitende already against URA FC and they will not allow another slip up.
They have all the quality in their depth, including Bobosi Byaruhanga who was last night crowned the 2021 Airtel FUFA Player of the Year while left back Aziz Kayondo was among the top three.
Ibrahim Orit and Caesar Manzoki made the best XI alongside Aziz and Bobosi, and with Yunus Sentamu not mentioned in that picture shows how good Vipers look on paper.
Last season, Vipers beat KCCA FC home and away, including a 1-0 win at Kitende thanks to an own goal by Peter Magambo.
