Arua Hill Compounds Tooro United Misery

Arua Hill extended Tooro United’s losing streak to seven league games after a well deserved 3-1 victory at Barifa Stadium, Arua City on Sunday.

A goal each from Alfred Leku, Samuel Ssekamatte and second half substitute Innocent Madula ensured that Arua Hill picked maximum points at home.

Mwanje Hussein scored the only goal as his side Tooro United suffered another defeat away from home.

Playing at home, Arua Hill started the better side, dominated play and it wasn’t a surprise when scored in the 2nd minute of the game through Leku, who headed in home off a well delivered corner from Andama Junior.

There on, the dorminance continued and Livingstone Mbabazi’s men could have scored more before the interval but missed a couple against a poor Tooro United side.

Andama Junior shot wide while infront of goal, Sharif Ssaaka headed wide off Andama’s we’ll taken corner before Vuni Bright as well headed wide off Andama’s corner.

At the restart of the second half, the hosts continued with their dorminance and it did not take them ages to score the second in the 54th minites through Ssekamatte who collected from Richard Matovu’s well delivered cross to double his side’s lead.

There on, Mbabazi’s charges launched more attacks to kill off the game, but missed on many occasions.

Leku saw his effort outside the area cleared from danger, Ssekamate missed when in one on one situation before he headed wide off Matovu’s cross.

Later on in added time, off the bench, Media scored the third to put the game beyond the Visitor’s reach. Moments later Tooro pulled one back through Mwanje but the goal was just a consolation.

Victory saw Arua Hill move to the sixth position with 13 points after their opening eight games. (W4, D1, L3).

For Tooro United, they suffer their seventh defeat of the season and remain on four points collected from nine games. (W1, D1, L7).

What Next- Arua Hill will be away to Soltilo Bright Stars on Friday next week while Tooro United will host Bul FC at Buhinga Stadium on the same day.
