Preview: Vipers SC Seeks Return to Winning Ways
Vipers will be seeking a return to winning ways when they face new UPL entrants Gaddafi FC on Wednesday.
The Kitende based side come into the game on a back of a 2-0 loss to URA FC last weekend and will want to bounce back against the Soldiers Boys.
The loss subjected Vipers to their first league loss under the stewardship of Brazilian gaffer Oliveira Robertinho.
Away from home, they face a tricky Gaddafi side that seems to be revamped under the Peter Onen’s stewardship. They picked maximum points against Arua Hill and drew 1-1 with Bul FC in the last encounter.
Ahead of the contest, Vipers head coach Robertinho Oliveira is optimistic they will get the needed result despite falling to the Tax Collectors in the previous game.
“You need to understand the there is no team in the whole world that wins everytime since the players and coaches are not machines,” said the Brazillian coach.
“We shall forget the past and we give priority to our next game, we trust our system, we are ready and our objective is still about winning everytime.”
Against the Soldier Boyz, Vipers will bank on the fact that they beat the same side, at the same Venue in a pre season friendly, thanks to David Bagoole’s brace.
Having it mind that they are now 4th on the log, after UPDF and Wakiso Giants won on Tuesday, the Venoms will have no room for error and will all go our for maximum points.
On the other side, Onen’s will seek to continue with their fine form when they host the Venoms on Monday.
In their last league outing against Bul FC, they had snatched off three points against Bul before conceding late in the game.
Back at home, they will be having the same ambitions of collecting maximum points against the Venoms.
This will be the first Competitive meeting between the two sides given the fact that Gaddafi are new league entrants.
