Monday 29th, 2021
*Ssingo Vs Gomba – 12pm
*Kyadondo Vs Buluuli – 3pm
Current Masengere Group Table Standings
- Buluuli – 5 pts
- Gomba – 4
- Kyadondo – 4
- Kabula – 4
- Ssingo – 3
All to play for as the Masengere group closes business officially on Monday, 29th November 2021 with yet another double header when Gomba plays Ssingo at noon before Kyadondo take on Buluuli in the mother of all battles.
Heading into these two fixtures, Kyadondo who were table leaders on Sunday this week suffered a major blow after they were docked three points and goals for fielding uneligible player in the names of Kibumba Kasirye.
The Masaza cup organizing committee made the ruling on Sunday morning following a petition filed by Kabula a day earlier.
The committee chaired by Samuel Mpiima ruled that Kasirye was indeed a registered player for Blacks Power Football Club, an entity in the FUFA Big League, a division where no player in the Masaza Cup is supposed to have featured.
Definitely, the decision affected the table standings in Masengere group coming to the final match-day on Monday.
Buluuli now leads the standings with 5 points. Gomba, Kyadondo and Kabula are all on four points with Ssingo on three points.
Defending Champions Gomba will need maximum points to secure a place in the next stage and the same applies to Ssingo in the first game of the day.
On the other hand, Buluuli on five points and current table leaders will need any positive result when they play Kyadondo to storm the Quarter finals.
For Kyadondo, who suffered a major set back find themselves in a must win situation if they are to get out of their group.
