Preview: Bright Stars Target Maiden Win
Bright Stars will be targeting their first three points of the season when they host another struggling side Tooro United on Friday.
Coming into this game, Bright Stars are yet to pick any maximum points, losing three and drawn two in the process after five games played.
Their first game under Interim manager Simon Mugerwa’s Stewardship, saw a goalless draw against Busoga United but they will be building on the fact that they didn’t concede for the first time this season.
Ahead of the game, Bright Stars midfielder Marvin Joseph Youngman is optimistic they will pick their first three points of the season on Friday.
“We are well prepared and we want to get our first win against Tooro United. Games have not been so well but tomorrow we want to get off the mark at home in Kavumba,” he told the club’s media.
At home in Kavumba, this is Bright Stars’ best opportunity to get off the mark against a Tooro United side that has so far failed to impress on the top flight return.
For the Visitors, they come on the back of a 6-1 loss to URA in the previous game that was played earlier this week on Tuesday.
The loss extended their winless streak to four games and have conceded the most goals in the league so far (15).
And with this game already on their plate, they will have to forget the past and focus on picking a positive result at Kavumba if they are to avoid relegation scares.
