Ssingo dropped more points in this year’s Masaza Cup tournament following their 2-2 draw against Kabula on Thursday evening at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

In their first game, they had came twice from down to draw 2-2 with Kyadondo at the start of the week on Monday.

Valentino Odoi scored a brace for Kabula as they picked their first point in this year’s tournament. Odoi Bright and Joseph Ssewaali scored each as Ssingo fought back in a closely contested affair.

Ssingo earned a bright Start scoring through Odoi who made a sole run past Kabula defenders before firing in home to give his side the lead.

However, despite scoring first, Kabula who had lost their opening games launched numerous attacks and it wasn’t a surprise that they were ahead before the interval.

In the 32nd minute, Odoi headed in home to level matters before later on tapping in home off Rashid Mutebi’s to put his side ahead.

At the restart of the second half, Ssewaali levelled matters with his left foot effort outside the area going at the far post. His goal could later on earn a point for his side on day.

There on, it was an end to end encounter but both sides failed to convert the few available opportunities created.

The result saw Ssingo drop more two points and will have much more work to do in their last two group games.

For Kabula, they pick their first point and remain rock bottom of the group but their chances of Qualification to the next round are all but done.

Friday is a rest day and both teams will return to action on Saturday. Current leaders Buluuli will take on Ssingo at noon while Kabula will be up against Kyadondo in their last game.
