Masaza Cup: Buluuli Thrash Kabula To Get off the Mark

Buluuli team earned a bright start into this year’s Airtel Masaza Cup tournament following their 5-2 victory over Kabula on Sunday in a one sided-game at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

A brace each from John Paul Ndembe and Iddi Farid Ssekyanzi and one goal from Johnson Ssenyonga ensured that Buluuli shinned brighter in their opening game of the Masengere group.

On the other side, off the bench, Martin Sseguya scored twice but the effort was not enough to held his side survive a beating.

Congolese national Ndembe scored two quick goals in a space of three minutes. He got his first in the 5th minute before completing his double three minutes later.

Moments later, Ssekyanzi scored the third on the day to put the 2011 winners in a comfortable 3-0 lead before the interval.

In the 53rd minute, Ssenyonga made it four for his side before Ssekyanzi put the icing on the cake ten minutes later.

Later on with only 10 minutes left on the clock, substitute Sseguya grabbed two goals to give the score a respectable reading.

It is a dream start for Buluuli Ssaza, who now go top of the Masengere group with three points, thanks to their good goal margin.

Kyadondo are now second in the group with three points, after their 2-0 win over Gomba in the first game held on Saturday.

After three rest days, Buluuli will be back in action on Thursday 25th November as they take on defending Champions Gomba at noon.

For Kabula, they have no time to rest as they face Gomba on Monday.
