World Cup Qualifiers: We Want Maximum Points From Kenya – Khalid Aucho

Uganda Cranes Captain Khalid Aucho says they need maximum points in their 2022 FIFA Quatar World Cup Qualifier game against Kenya.

Aucho made the remarks during a pre- match press conference held at the Fufa house in Mengo on wednesday morning ahead of the tie.

Uganda is set host neighbors Kenya on Thursday, November 11th before visiting Mali three days later in the last two games of the FIFA World Cup Qualifying Campaign.

Ahead of the game, Aucho expressed the team’s readiness and admitted that they are going for three points.

“Our minds are ready, players are fit and we are ready for the game, Aucho told the Pressmen before adding, Yes despite some Kenyan players being our friends, but this is a battle where we need nothing but the three points,” Aucho stated.

Last month in October, Micho’s charges completed a double against Rwanda to take the team to eight points thanks to Fahad Bayo’s goals who scored each in Kigali and in Kampala.

The two victories saw Uganda move to the Second place in group E with 8 points, two below leaders Mali.

With two points below leaders Mali, Uganda are in a must win situation in these last two games against Kenya and Mali inorder to guarantee a place on the last round of qualifiers.

However, the Uganda Cranes Captain says they need to first concentrate on the game at home against Kenya and see what to take in the last game.

Aucho added: “We want to first focus on the first game against Kenya, then after we see what’s next.”

On Thursday in Kitende, Aucho will captain the team when they host Harambee Stars in Kitende.

Playing at home, Aucho and his teammates will all go out in search for three points to keep the World Cup dream alive.
